@ChrisHeadslice on Twitter, as usual...
Hey! New stuff!
You can now order my books from Amazon.ca. The "site transformation" process is well underway. There's a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff that'll really blow your mind. All things in good time, however, as the saying goes. I'm only getting started, and that's the truth.
Furthermore, I'm switching to another hosting plan (still with good old GoDaddy, though) in a few days/weeks, which means moving to a newer version of Joomla! - which means that further tampering with this template might cause more problems, so until I migrate to the new server, I'm going to keep as quiet as possible about my plans.
Suffice it to say the air is brimming with projects, and that with a bit of luck, I might actually start making a little bit of money off the site. Sure, running a website doesn't cost a lot of money OR time (except when changing designs), but it IS a rather hardcore challenge. I'm trying to come up with a schedule whereby I can get this site (and a few others) going without too much trouble. Once they're up and running, of course, updating them is a piece of cake. I'm looking forward to that, truth be told. In the mean time, I've got my work cut out for me, and very little time to do it. This business is time consuming - very time consuming - but it needs to be done. At this point, I'm thinking a few, well-run websites might earn me some side money, and that side money will provide security, and that security will provide some well needed RELAXATION. I'm working my little heart into a frenzy every time month's end approaches, nowadays. It's not cool.
But, with a few debts gone and some breathing room, perhaps I can save up some and accomplish a few things.
That being said, my main writing project has been vanquished by a translation project, which in turn is hampered by a website project. Luckily, the website (which I'll tell you about when the time comes) should be up and running sometime next week, at which time I'll resume work on my translation project. This should take me about a month to complete - so don't expect frequent updates until then - but my "target date" for the renewal of this site and the official launch of a few others - is APRIL FIRST. That gives me two months to get my things in order, customize template, join affiliate programs and plan some form of monetization strategy.
Therefore, I'm signing off for a little while. I promise to give you more news soon.
Cheers, my friends, and rejoice! Chris Headslice is getting cocky!
